Nottingham’s only dedicated LGBT+ nightclub has closed with immediate effect.
Propaganda, which has been serving the city’s gay community for over a decade, is closing permanently due to the lockdown and Covid-19 restrictions meaning it was unable to renew its lease.
In a post on Facebook, the venue’s management wrote that because of “current economic conditions”, they were unable to come to new terms with the landlord, leaving them with “no other option but to close”.
They added that they were “humbled to have been part of something special” and offered their thanks to their “incredible staff, past and present”.
