Homophobic and transphobic leaflets have been posted through doors in Birmingham by a fundamentalist American Christian group which promotes an extreme ideology of Catholicism.
BirminghamLive reports that the Tradition, Family & Property organisation’s leaflet, titled Gender Theory Or 21st Century Totalitarianism, calls for people to stand against the ‘delirious ideology’ of ‘gender theory’, which, it claims, means ‘everyone can fancy themselves as man, woman, neither or both’ at the same time.
Referencing the ongoing row at Birmingham schools about the teaching of lessons which include information about LGBT relationships, the leaflet reads: “Sophisticated activists are already at work to impose their anti-Christian and anti-God views on your children at school.”
