The Grand Opening of Fierce, one of the UK’s most respected festivals for live art, is being held in Birmingham tonight.
Taking place at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and hosted by local drag favourite Ginny Lemon, the event comprises four hours of pop-up performances from the likes of Sandra Johnston, Keijaun Thomas (pictured), Ariah Lester and Lucy McCormick. Attendees can raise a glass to the launch of the festival and dance the night away with the DJs. And best of all, it’s free!
Fierce runs until Sunday (20 October) and features performances in popular venues and out-of-the-ordinary spaces across the city, with theatre, dance, music, installations, activism, digital practices and parties all featuring.
