Following last year’s sell-out show at Birmingham Hippodrome, RuPaul’s Drag Race favourite Jinkx Monsoon this autumn returns to the venue alongside ‘lyrical genius’ Major Scales, to showcase music from their upcoming album.

The new show sees music and mental health collide in what’s being described as ‘a witty, biting look at the dark side of drag fame’.

The alter-ego of comedian Jerick Hoffer, Jinkx Monsoon shot to fame when she won the fifth season of popular drag talent show RuPaul’s Drag Race. Jinkx’s partner in crime, Major Scales, is the creation of Richard Andriessen, a musician and writer from Seattle.

Jinkx Monsoon & Major Scales: The Ginger Snapped is presented in The Patrick Studio at Birmingham Hippodrome on Saturday 17 November.

The show forms part of Birmingham LGBT’s SHOUT Festival.
