A new series of short films focusing on gay sexuality and football is now available to view.
The Male Gaze: Strikers And Defenders can be watched on Amazon, Vimeo and FilmDoo via NQVmedia.
The series comprises four LGBTQ football-themed movies, including a UK entry titled Colours. The film tells the story of young footballer Adam and the ultimatum with which he’s faced when the bullying captain of his club finds out that his best friend is gay.
The series’ publicity reads: “Boys will be boys, but when the game kicks off, are the rules the same? Discover the lives of the players on and off the pitch in these exciting coming-of-age tales of desire, jealousy, foul play and just desserts.”
The Male Gaze also includes films from Germany and France. The titles of the other three movies are: Play It Like A Man, Islands and Through The Fields.
