Leicester Pride 2009 to take La Cage aux Folles theme

Leicester Pride 2009 is taking the theme of La Cage aux Folles, and takes place on Saturday 5 September.

For the first time ever, the festival will be located within the city ring road and at the heart of the gay community on Belgrave Gate. Attractions include the Pride parade through the city streets, the Main Stage, which will offer a cross-cultural fusion of music, dance and cabaret, the LGBT Centre's community and health marquee, and a variety of community workshops. Leicester’s gay and lesbian football team will be running a big barbeque, and there'll be a host of rides and attractions courtesy of Billy Bates Fun Fair to enjoy.
