Wolverhampton gay bar to reopen
POSTED: Tue 9 March 2010A Wolverhampton gay venue that closed last month is scheduled to re-open on Friday 19th March.
The White Hart closed its doors last month on Valentines Day, but a spokesperson from Marsdens Brewery has confirmed to Midlands Zone that the venue will re-open with a new look and some exciting new offers.
Previous leaseholder Shaun Keasey who currently runs nearby Gorgeous Nightclub in the city told Zone “It’s fantastic news that the White Hart is re-opening. The brewery are putting in a lot of time and cash to ensure the venue re-opens and remains gay."
He added, "Wolverhampton's gay scene needs a boost and I look forward to working with the brewery to promote the venue as the official pre-bar to Gorgeous Nightclub”.
The brewery are also changing the name back from 'The Hart' to its original name of 'The White Hart', as this has become synonymous over the years with the Wolverhampton gay scene a spokesperson claimed.
The opening night on Friday 19th March will feature cabaret act Spangles Galore together with discounted tickets to Gorgeous Nightclub.
