Derby Pride organisers to stage first ever fundraising Ball

Committee members of Derby Pride have revealed that they are organising a fundraising Ball in aid of this year’s Derby Pride event.

The first ever Pride Ball will be held on Saturday 8 May at The Stuart Hotel on London Road, Derby, from 7.30pm. According to organisers, the Glamour and Glitz-themed event will feature a photographer snapping guests as they arrive on the red carpet, and fire-eaters and stilt-walkers entertaining the guests.
A two-course dinner will be followed by Miss Diva Chanel hosting a fundraising auction, with live PA from Ryan Jagger, as well as cabaret and singers.

Commenting on the event, Andrew Manning of the Derby Pride Committee, said: “Derby Pride are extremely proud and excited about our first fundraising Ball, which I am sure will become an annual event. The community of Derby have been very supportive to date, and we can’t wait for Derby Pride 2010.
