Pride Ball is a sell-out!
POSTED: Wed 24 February 2010

This year’s Birmingham Gay and Lesbian Pride Ball has already completely sold out, with over 1000 guests set to descend on the city’s prestigious International Convention Centre venue.

And organisers have confirmed that they are still being inundated with enquiries, so have managed to release a limited amount of extra tickets to try and cope with demand.

Commenting on the popularity of the 2010 event, organiser Martin Monahan said: “Tickets sales for this year have been absolutely amazing, I’m gob-smacked.
“Not only will it be another record-breaking attendance but also the line-up of artists performing on the night is undoubtedly going to make it our best Pride Ball yet.”

He added: “I would encourage anyone who hasn’t been before to come along this year - I’m very confident that it will surpass everyone’s expectations!”
Mr Monahan is, however, still remaining tight-lipped about exactly who will be performing on the night. “It’s always difficult to announce the entire line-up of artists, and contractually we cannot announce all the artists in advance, just in case something comes up at the last minute.

“Obviously we’ve already announced the very lovely Zoe Tyler, the Loose Women panelist and vocal singing coach to the stars, together with X Factor finalist and West End star Niki Evans, who will both be taking part in our ‘Magic of The Musicals’ opening performance, but for the rest of the line-up, everyone will just have to wait and see. But as I said,  I don’t think anyone will be disappointed!”

The event, which takes place at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham, on Friday 26 March, has established itself as the UK’s biggest gay and lesbian Ball.
Tickets start from £55, and include a three-course meal, entertainment and a disco.

Tickets can be purchased via credit or debit card, or by cheque, by contacting Jess on 01743 281 722, or by emailing jessica.matthews@ MidlandsZone.co.uk. To view last year’s trailer go to www.gayball.co.uk
