Sexual health charity launches new support group in Coventry
POSTED: Sat 20 February 2010

On March 10 HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) will be launching a new support group for gay and bisexual men in Coventry and Warwickshire.

The ‘Lads’ support group aims to offer men an alternative to the gay scene. The group will meet at THT’s centre in the city.

Commenting on the new initiative, Martin Cranton, Health Promotion Coordinator for THT in Coventry, said: “Lads aims to be a safe and relaxed place away from the commercial gay scene where you can just be yourself, hang out and meet like minded people. The great thing about the group is that we want it to meet your needs so there will be lots of opportunities to chip in with ideas, help organise future events and really take an active role in shaping the group’.”

The ‘Lads’ group takes place on the second and fourth Wednesday each month at THT’s centre in the city from 6.30 to 8.30pm. For more information, contact Ewan McPherson or Nic Phillips on 0247 622 9292 or email ewan.mcpherson@tht.org.uk .
